The Carrasqueta is a large mountain of the Costa Blanca named after the many oak trees that grow at its skirts. Entering the Carrasqueta one finds Jijona, the sweetest village of Alicante. In Jijona the well-known nougat named Turrón is produced, made with honey, sugar and almonds that gives energy to those who taste it and sweetens the palate.
From the peak to the bottom of the valleys emerge beautiful natural springs of water creating a fantastic landscape. During the first months of the year a large white and pink tinged mantle of almond blossoms creates a spectacular panorama and provides beautiful views throughout the Costa Blanca.
