The Cabezón de Oro (Cabeçó d’Or in valenciano) at 1210 metres is the nearest mountain to the centre of the Costa Blanca, Alicante. From its peak you are able to appreciate the beauty of the whole of the Costa Blanca. The Cabezón de Oro is just 2 km away from the Hotel Sierra de Alicante. Deep within the mountain you can find the Cuevas del Canelobre, a series of caverns carved and formed by water over millions of years. The cave has one of the highest vaults in Spain, filled with stalactites and stalagmites, forming beautiful and natural sculptures as if it were a real cathedral.
